What’s cool about my hometown: While I have lived in many places, Hawaii will always be home for I am a Kamaaina (one of the Land) the Aina (land) is and all within it is Ohana(family) and it is in your blood. So, what I like about my home town is the smell of the salt air from the ocean or the sweet smell of the flowers after a rain, the love of Ohana even if you are not of blood relations. But of course, Hawaii speaks for itself. 🙂

Hobbies: My hobbies have changed over the years but Hiking, camping and pretty much anything to do with water has always been things I have done. In the different areas that I have lived, I have given my time to Habitat for Humanity working alongside someone who will be receiving keys to their new home (to see the face of someone who is given a key to a new place that they only dreamed of is beyond words and the best feeling in the world).

Department at M&S: Civil (Transportation) I am a design technician and will be helping the Georgetown office expand the Transportation division to gain more Txdot projects.

School Attended/ Discipline: I attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi and majored in Drafting & Design Technology with anticipations of furthering my studies but other things came into play and that didn’t go as planned.

Experience: I have 24 years’ experience in the drafting and design field/ I have worked with 3 different Dot’s (MoDot, TxDot and MDot); in the private sector, I worked with an Architect firm for a year and then a Land Development firm for 4 years. The last place I worked prior to coming back to Texas was with another Civil Engineering firm working with the Roadway design group on CDot projects.
